Lose Weight Without A Gym Membership |
Some people are too self concious to go to the gym, and some cannot afford a membership. No matter what the reason is, it doesn't mean you can't lose the weight and reach your goals. A gym is a great resource for many, but it is definitely not a requirement. You can get a few pieces of equipment and have everything you need to lose weight at home. You don't need much - Some dumbells, resistance bands, maybe an exercise ball, and one of the best tools - your own body weight! Your own body weight is the best tool you have, and it's free! It's great for lunges, squats, wall sits, pushups, everything! However, you may need weights for some moves. This is where dumbells or barbells come in. They do not need to be heavy. Just 5 pounds are enough to begin with, then move up to 10, and so on as you need to. You can even buy adjustable barbells. These are great because you can change the weights as you need to, instead of buying new dumbells all the time. Another great tool is a resistance band. There are a lot of moves you can do with it, and it is convenient for people who travel. It is inexpensive, too, so it's worth the money! An exercise ball is not required but is a great way to give an extra challenge to your workouts. If you are going to buy one, make sure to get the right size. The size of your ball is determined by your height. 55 cm - 4'11" - 5'4" 65 cm - 5'5" - 5'11" 75 cm - 6'0" - 6' 7" These are the only pieces of equipment I own, and to date, I have lost 64 pounds and am still losing. I have never stepped foot into a gym. You don't have to either! |
